Earthworks to extend the Ōtanewainuku carpark from 18 to 27 spots will occur in the second half of July 2019.
The area will have working machinery and other hazards during construction. Please be extra careful if you are visiting the forest at this time. There is also likely to be some traffic management during the project so please respect the temporary speed limits etc when passing through.
